SEOUL - A court has ruled that the nation cant retrieve 80 billion won in slush funds that former president Roh Tae-woo had entrusted to Chung Tae-soo, former chairman of the steelmaking Hanbo Group, raising fears of difficulty in collecting Roh s slush funds.
The Seoul District Court handed a defeat to the government, the plaintiff, in a lawsuit lodged against Hanbo Steel, the flagship of the now-defunct Hanbo Group which had offered guarantees in the process of Roh lending money to Chung.
Hanbo Steel guaranteed the debt repayments in September 1993, when Roh lent 59.9 billion won to Chung at an annual interest rate of 8.5 percent.

SEOUL The Internet is doing everything from electronics commerce to news services, and now it is moving into something entirely new allowing parents to analyze their children s spending.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Visa USA is now actively marketing its new credit card called "VisaBuxx" created with teenagers in mind.
The credit card will have a specified spending limit and can be used like any other credit card for the purchase of goods and when making service payments.
